Abdul is a highly motivated and articulate professional with extensive experience spanning across banking & finance for over twenty years. He is a man of proven managerial, analytical and technological skills which has been developed from having extensively worked in multi-disciplinary teams. With a successful track record in leadership roles, he has held a number of leadership positions. These positions include Head, Marketing Department, Intercity Bank PLC; Head Corporate Planning & Executive Assistant to the MD Intercity PLC; Head, International & Finance Department, Intercity PLC; Head, Treasury & Investment Department and Head, Corporate Investment Department, Intercity Bank PLC. He has also been a board member for a number of reputable institutions. Notable among such institutions are the FirstBank Limited Trustees, Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria and the Federal College of Agriculture. He was educated at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the University of Dundee, UK for a Master of Business Administration – Public Service Management.
In addition to these academic credentials he has had training in banking related courses, insurance brokerage, international business transactions and leadership among others. In addition to being a Director of FBNBank Ghana Limited (a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Limited), he is the Deputy General Manager of Galaxy Backbone Plc, Head of Northern Region, Nigeria. Abdul is happily married.
