  • Dial *894#
  • Select Registration & click Send
  • Enter Account Number & click Send
  • Enter desired PIN (5 digits) & click Send
  • Confirm desired PIN (repeat 5 digits) & click Send



  • Dial *894#
  • Select Activate & click Send
  • Enter USSD PIN & click Send


HOW TO TRANSFER (Internal Transfers)

  • Dial *894#
  • Select Transfers & click Send
  • Select FBN Transfers & click Send
  • Select account to transfer from & click Send
  • Enter beneficiary account & click Send
  • Enter amount & click Send
  • Select Okay to confirm beneficiary name and amount & click Send
  • Enter USSD PIN to authorize transaction & click Send


HOW TO TRANSFER (Other Bank Transfers)

  • Dial *894#
  • Select Transfers
  • Select Other Transfers
  • Select Bank index from the alphabetical list provided
  • Select Bank name
  • Enter beneficiary account
  • Select Okay to confirm beneficiary name and amount & click Send
  • Select benefactor account to transfer from
  • Enter amount
  • Select Okay to verify transfer details
  • Enter USSD PIN to authorize the transaction


NB: **The daily transaction limit for transfers is GH¢10,000. However, there is a limit of GH¢5,000 per transaction.

**Minimum transfer amount is GH¢10



  • Dial *894#
  • Select Check Balances & click Send
  • Select account to check the balance on & click Send
  • Enter USSD PIN to confirm action & click Send



  • Dial *894# shortcode
  • Select My Account option
  • Select the PIN Change option
  • Enter your old PIN
  • Enter your new PIN


The customer receives a notification for a successful PIN change.

NB: For all issues on password reset, kindly contact the E-Business Department for a successful reset. You will be required to confirm the account and phone number details.



  • Dial *894#
  • Select Airtime
  • Select the network to purchase for
  • Select beneficiary i.e. Self or Other (For Other, enter recipient’s phone number)
  • Enter amount
  • Confirm details by selecting Okay
  • Enter the Desired PIN to authorize payment (Customer gets a notification which reads “Request is being processed”)
  • The beneficiary receives value for airtime purchased


NB: Minimum amount for airtime purchase is GH¢2.00 across all networks.

  • Select Yes to begin the process
  • Select Salutation from options provided
  • Enter “First Name”
  • Enter “Middle Name”
  • Enter “Last Name”
  • Enter Date of Birth
  • Select Gender


A de-facto account number is generated whose KYC has to be completed at the nearest branch to activate.

How do I enroll?

Walk up to any customer service desk at any of our branches and register phone number on the bank’s SMS platform (both new and existing accounts holders).

If you are already receiving alerts, ignore this step, dial *894# and follow prompts to register and activate.


What categories of customers ca sign up for FBNBank’s Quick Banking *894#?

All individual account holders with phone numbers enrolled on the SMS Alert platform. Joint accounts and Corporate accounts are not eligible for this product.


Is this product available across all networks?

All subscribers on MTN, AirtelTigo & Vodafone can sign up for Quick Banking *894#.

Yes. You can use any type of phone for all your transactions.


Do I need internet to access Quick Banking *894#?

No. There is no need for internet access before using this product.


How secure is the Quick Banking *894# product?

The service is protected on two levels:

  • During enrolment, you need to supply your registered number on our SMS alert platform
  • You create a 5-digit secret PIN. This serves as a transaction PIN for authorizing your transactions


How do I reset my transaction PIN?

Dial *894# and select ‘PIN Change,’ confirm the old PIN and reset a new PIN for yourself.

In case you forget your PIN completely, visit our nearest branch and request for PIN reset.
